John Wetton bassist with Family,UK,Asia and Uriah Heep dies at age 67.

Bassist and singer John Wetton, who served in King Crimson, Family, UK and co-founded the Eighties prog rock supergroup Asia, died Tuesday after a battle with colon cancer. He was 67.

Peter Sarstedt Singer Songwriter dies at age 75

Singer-songwriter Peter Sarstedt, best known for the song Where do you go to (my lovely), has died at the age of 75, his family has said.
The song topped the UK singles charts in February 1969 and remained number one for four weeks.
 He died peacefully after a six-year battle with Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, a family statement said.

Rick Parfitt of Status Quo dies at age 68

With his flowing blond locks, denim gear and Fender Telecaster, Rick Parfitt was one of rock's most recognisable guitarists.
His partnership with Francis Rossi became the core of Status Quo, one of Britain's most enduring bands.
Their brand of boogie-woogie rock survived changes in musical fashion and made them one of the best-loved live acts of their generation.
As well as driving the Quo sound on stage, Parfitt penned many of the band's biggest hits.

Legendary prog rock singer/bassist/lyricist Greg Lake has died at age 69 following a battle with cancer. Best know as the bassist for King Crimson and guitarist/singer for Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Lake scored one of his biggest solo hits in 1975 with "I Believe in Father Christmas."

Leonard Cohen, legendary songgwriter ans sing has died at age 82

Leonard Cohen, the singer-songwriter whose literary sensibility and elegant dissections of desire made him one of popular music’s most influential and admired figures for four decades, has died. He was 82.
This was the Rayal Albert Hall in London in 1976.

Paul McCartney mourned the death of Wings guitarist Henry McCullough on his official site today. The musician — who was in Wings from 1972 through 1973 — died June 14th at age 72. He was forst known for being in Joe Cocker's Grease Band.

Maurice White died Thursday (Feb. 4) at age 74 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease. He formed the band in 1969, after a tenure as the drummer in the Ramsey Lewis Trio and a short run with his own band, the Salty Peppers. White was EWF's visionary and conceptualizer, its chief songwriter and producer, as well as the focal point of one of the tightest, hottest-stepping frontlines in pop music.

Paul Kantner, a founding member of the Jefferson Airplane who stayed with the seminal San Francisco band through its transformation from 1960s hippies to 1970s hit makers as the eventual leader of successor group Jefferson Starship, has died at age 74.

Jimmy Bain, bass guitarist for Dio and Rainbow dies at age 68

 Jimmy Bain, who played bass for Rainbow, Dio, and – most recently – Last in Line, has died. Vivian Campbell, bandmate to Bain in Dio and Last in Line (and guitarist for Def Leppard), shared the sad news on Facebook on Sunday, Jan. 24, though Bain’s cause of death has not been confirmed. Bain was 68.
