 Jimmy Bain, who played bass for Rainbow, Dio, and – most recently – Last in Line, has died. Vivian Campbell, bandmate to Bain in Dio and Last in Line (and guitarist for Def Leppard), shared the sad news on Facebook on Sunday, Jan. 24, though Bain’s cause of death has not been confirmed. Bain was 68.

Stephen "Stevie" Wright, singer of Australian rock outfit the Easybeats and widely considered the country's first international pop star, has died at age 68. Wright became ill on Boxing Day, December 26th, and died Sunday night, The Guardian reports. No cause of death has been given, though rock historian Glenn A. Lynn Anderson Country Legend dies at age 67

Singer-songwriter Lynn Anderson, a dynamic Grammy-winning performer whose 1970 single, "Rose Garden," was a country and pop hit throughout the world, died Thursday night at Nashville's Vanderbilt University Medical Center after suffering a heart attack. According to the Tennessean, Anderson was hospitalized with pneumonia following a recent trip to Italy. She was 67.

Kim Fowley - Runaways manager and producer dies at age 75

Runaways producer and notorious L.A. music legend Kim Fowley has died. In recent months, he had been undergoing cancer treatments, though no cause of death has been announced. He was 75. Charismatic and always eccentric, Fowley is best remembered as the record producer for the all-female rock group the Runaways. Kim also made Alley Oop as the Hollywood Argyles and wrote and produced the classic instrumental Nut Rocker.

Bobby Keys Sax player with the Rolling Stones dies at age 70

Bobby Keys, a saxophonist and rock 'n' roller known to millions for his blasting solo on the Rolling Stones' "Brown Sugar," has died at his home in Franklin, Tennessee. He was 70 years old.
Keys had been out on tour with the Stones earlier this year before his health prevented him from performing.
"The Rolling Stones are devastated by the loss of their very dear friend and legendary saxophone player, Bobby Keys," the band said in a statement. "Bobby made a unique musical contribution to the band since the 1960s. He will be greatly missed."

Dick Wagner - Alice cooper guitar player and songwriter dies at age 71

Dick Wagner, who played guitar with Alice Cooper, Lou Reed and at various points in his career, died on July 30th after being hospitalized in Scottsdale, Arizona for respiratory failure. Two weeks earlier, he had undergone a cardiac procedure, according to Detroit Free Press. He was 71

"Even though we know it's inevitable, we never expect to suddenly lose close friends and collaborators," Cooper said in a statement. "Dick Wagner and I shared as many laughs as we did hit records. He was one of a kind. He is irreplaceable. His brand of playing and writing is not seen anymore, and there are very few people that I enjoyed working with as much as I enjoyed working with Dick Wagner.

Blues Guitar Legend Johnny Winter has died in Zurich, Switzerland.

Texas blues icon Johnny Winter, who rose to fame in the late 1960s and '70s for his energetic performances and musical collaborations including with childhood hero Muddy Waters, has died. He was 70.

His representative, Carla Parisi, confirmed Thursday that Winter died in a hotel room in Zurich a day earlier. The statement said his wife, family and bandmates were all saddened by the loss of one of the world's finest guitarists.

He had been on an extensive tour this year that brought him to Europe. His last performance came Saturday at the Lovely Days Festival in Wiesen, Austria.

Goddard performed on such ARS hits as “So Into You,” “Imaginary Lover,” “I’m Not Gonna Let It Bother Me Tonight,” “Do It or Die” and the remake of the Classics IV’s “Spooky.”

Ray Manzarek, a founding member and keyboardist of 1960s rock group The Doors, died on Monday in Rosenheim, Germany, following a battle with bile duct cancer at at age 74.
Singer Jim Morrison and Manzarek formed The Doors in 1965 after a chance meeting at Los Angeles' Venice Beach, and Ray Manzarek's keyboard work would go on to be a the driving sound of hits like "Break On Through to the Other Side" and "Light My Fire."
